Let me guess. Lately you’ve especially been feeling something like this…

Me too! 2020 undoubtedly has been filled with exhaustion, loss, and chaotic disaster. With times turning so bleak, it became easier to lose hope and so in turn our minds left us to dwell in negativity and pain.
So as we approach a new year, where do we go from here? How can we properly reset? How can we successfully leave behind the overwhelming emotions this year has weighed us down with?
The answer: Affirmations.
Affirmations are simple, which is why I love them. Even the laziest people can include this into their routine. The power of these simple phrases whether written or said aloud is that they bring the mind back to the center. They control our outlook and sometimes they act like a trick to getting the mind on the right pathway.
Here is a “Going into 2021” list of affirmations I have been using for the past week:

1. “I’m moving on. i’m letting go. the soon I move on, the sooner i can find greater happiness.”

2. “today I release the pain, sadness, and suffering from this year. i trust the universe will lead me to greatness in 2021.”

3.”this is the beginning of a wonderful new chapter.”

4. “I attract positive things and people in my life. There is a greater power within me that says I can accomplish anything I want in life.”
And there you have it! When in doubt, ponder on these affirmations. At the least they will add a spring to your step. Remember that as humans we subconsciously use affirmations in life whether good or bad. “I am always so bad at math.” or “I’m fat.” If we continue to weigh ourselves down, we won’t move forward.
